Location of the New Botanic Gardens
The Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens will be established on the "Old Skin Shed" site at the corner of Kangaloon and Old South Roads, East Bowral, NSW. The site will incorporate the "Ponds of Reflection" which is an existing series of linked retention ponds leading south from East Bowral.
The existing community walking track currently runs along the western and eastern boundary, then crosses the site along the eastern boundary leading from Kangaloon Road to Alice Avenue. Although the walking track is within the Botanic Gardens areas in some places, the walking track will remain outside any future fenced area of the site.
