Sculpture Competition Invitation

The Earth Hour celebrations in 2021 will include a sculpture exhibition and competition and we invite individuals to create a piece of sculpture from recycled material to highlight the concept of art and sustainability.

Open to artists and aspiring artists living in the Shires of Wingecarribee, Wollondilly and Goulburn Mulwaree

1st Prize – $2,500
Commendation – $1,000
People’s Choice Award – $500

School Sections – Junior & Senior

1st Prize – WSC sustainability assessment/workshop for school + selected plants for school (value $300)
Commendation – treated pine timber* (value $250) + selected plants (value $100)
People’s Award – selected plants (value $100)
Winning children receive a certificate
*Treated pine timber donated by Penrose Pine Products


1 March – Entries due. Due to Covid issues this year this date is flexible
14 March – Entrants advised of selected exhibit space.

19 March – 24 March – Works must be delivered and installed by 4pm 24 March.
26 March – Works judged and finalists notified.
27 March – Announcement of winners at Earth Hour community event commencing 5pm.

9 April – Close of public exhibition of Works.
12 April – Final date Works to be removed from site, unless otherwise agreed.
7 May – Payments of sales made to artists.
