Following the success of this year’s Autumn Gardens weekend, proceedings are in full swing to organise next year’s event. The dates are 23 and 24 April 2016 and the focus will be on gardens in the Exeter/Bundanoon area as well as Bowral. An added feature will be a new-style “plant fair” at the SHBG site.
Continue Reading...Following the signing of our lease with Council we are proceeding with additional necessary fencing and gates. New gates have already been installed in the existing fence and an additional fence has been erected around the Latham’s Snipe habitat. Interpretive signs are being prepared for the gardens so that visitors can learn more about the Snipe and the other birds that frequent the garden and ponds.

Continue Reading...Development of the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens has taken another step forward with the awarding of a $7,100 grant to the company by IMB Community Foundation. The funds will be used to install an automatic watering system and erect a shed for the safe storage of chemicals.
