Dahlia Workshop

Date: 13 October 2024, 10am – 1pm
Venue: Function room, Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens
Cost: $90 including morning tea and a complimentary bundle of tubers to take home

A beginners guide to propagating and managing dahlias including digging, lifting and dividing tubers, storing tubers, planting, tricks for best flowers and propagating by seeds and cuttings.

This interactive, hands-on workshop will be run by Graeme Davis. Morning tea provided by the SHBG baking Friends.

Meet Graeme Davis

Graeme is an internationally acclaimed dahlia breeder and exhibitor. He is currently  the NSW/ACT President of the Australian Dahlia Society.

Graeme breeds dahlias under the Wakefield name, including the well known Wakefield Impersonator and Wakefield Anniversary, in his own garden and at a community garden in Canberra.

Graeme is third generation Dahlia grower and exhibitor. He is a well respected dahlia exhibitor, winning many championships in NSW and the ACT.
