The Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens are a community operated and funded garden. With no financial support from the Wingecarribee Shire Council we rely on donations and grant money to establish and maintain the gardens and to undertake development projects. From time to time, SHBG will identify a particular project and will campaign for funding to support that project.
Funds are currently being raised to construct an Education Centre for use by schools and visiting groups all year round. DA approved and shovel ready. The estimated project cost is $650,000 for the building, fitout and landscape.
DA approved, shovel ready project to build a potting and storage shed to house our new ute and tractor and provide all weather protection for our potting team. The estimated cost is $95,000 including provision of water and power.
