Mapping of individual garden beds is currently underway by SHBG Volunteers. The aim of the project is to have a complete record of all plants in the garden. Once the project is complete it is anticipated individual plants or groups of plants can be highlighted to visitors to the garden when they are at their seasonal height.

A manual will also be created so volunteers are aware of maintenance, seed collection and other activities needed to be attended to throughout the year.

We are currently in the preliminary stages of producing simple ‘mud maps’ of each garden bed. As the project develops these maps will be enhanced with photographs and some descriptions of the plants.
