To become a volunteer complete the online registration form, then come along to one of our weekly Tuesday working bees where you will be inducted and introduced to our other volunteers.

Working bees are held every Tuesday, 9am to 11am December to February and 10am – 12 noon March to November. Please wear appropriate clothing for working outdoors, including closed in shoes and adequate sun protection. You must be a registered volunteer to join the working bees.

The Plant Growers Group – propagates and grows on plants for sale for the botanic gardens throughout the year for the nursery and special plant sales. The main plant sale is held in conjunction with the Autumn Open garden weekend in April when a pop up nursery is set up featuring many rare and unusual plants. Each year the plant growers group provide 3,000 to 4,000 plants for this weekend, raising much needed funds for the gardens.

From February to April the plant growers group meets on site on the first Tuesday of the month following the working bee. From May to December the Plant Growers Group meet as advised in the newsletter.
